Diet Doc HCG

Obesity is a complex disease that many programs, apps, and even medications attempt to tackle at a simplistic level. Often, the problem lies in metabolism and hormones, hence the rising popularity of hormone-based obesity treatment therapies. One such treatment is HCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin; and one of the agents using it is named Diet Doc, which is available online. But how safe is it, and does the HCG treatment actually work?

Product Overview

Diet Doc is a general term that covers a customized diet program that is fashioned to meet the needs of specific body types and even lifestyles. Calories are limited to 700-1000 a day, along with HCG, which continues until you meet your weight loss goals. The HCG being used can be taken as tablets  or as injections.

What’s Included

Diet Doc also includes visits by a licensed nurse or doctor. The program also includes purchase of a workbook that has detailed instructions on how to go through the program. Also included are support from coaches through a hotline and free consultations with experts on weight loss and nutrition. Plus, a maintenance program is also part of the purchase in order to keep the weight off as well as to stay at one’s ideal weight.

The HCG website also offers a diet center, which has pre-packaged foods that are ideal for the diet. The website also offers diet shakes to keep dieters full.

Author

In general, Dr Albert Simeons is credited with being the first to use HCG treatments against obesity. However, Diet Doc is a separate entity with no information on who first created it. Diet Doc bases its diet on the best parts, it claims, of Dr. Simeon’s diet.

Website

The domain hcgtreatments.com was created in 2009, and will expire in 2017.  The last update to the website was made in mid-2011. The website is registered to Perfect Health Technologies, which is based out of Escondido, California. Perfect Health Technologies is also the administrative, tech, and billing contact for the website.

Theory

The HCG diet plan is based on research and studies over the last few decades. A typical HCG treatment might include treatment with the hormone, but this particular plan by Diet Doc also includes eating the right foods that will keep blood sugar levels in check. The HCG diet will push fat out of the body through the bloodstream, and will be used by the body as a source of energy. This encourages more efficient fat burning.

Practical Application

The HCG diet plan advocated by Diet Doc starts with consultation with a doctor. The doctor reviews a patient’s lifestyle and history, and, along with factors such as age and gender, will create a personalized diet that will completely fit the person’s weight and fitness goals. A trained nurse will then look at the details and plan by the doctor and then assist dieters in implementing the diet. Finally, the dieter will receive high quality HCG using priority mail from a licensed pharmacy.

However, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as well as the Federal Trade Commission have already warned several companies regarding marketing HCG as a weight loss drug. The FDA has not yet approved HCG for wide use in obesity treatments.

Social Media

Diet Doc has over 3000 likes on its Facebook page. It also has its own Twitter page at which has over 7000 followers.
